After much planning and sorting of material items, the day came to sell my traditional house & downsize to my tiny home by the beach. Figured it was the only way to go if I genuinely wanted to accomplish my goal of simple living. I must admit it took a bit of work (garage sales, donations and freecycle.com) to rid myself of the majority of stuff. Of course there was some emotional juggling going on. Memories connected to things. But I figured if I haven't used it in the last 6 months, I probably don't need it anyway. "Let it go" became my mantra. After all, we don't enter this world, or leave with material items, so why should we carry them around with us only to spend precious time cleaning and caring for them. Time better spent with loved ones, experiencing life.
Now for the feeling of liberation to come flooding in! What a relief, and just in time for my first grand child to be born.
The small sq footage is perfect for 1 or 2 people. Plus it ignites the imagination & ingenuity. Something I haven't used in a while.
Along with relief comes restful sleep. Ah, now this is the good life!
